So here we go
The incident with Valya Harkonnen using her voice comes from one titled “Mentats of Dune.” The three books intertwine the development of the Sisterhood, Mentats, Navigators, and Suk Doctors. Mentioned in Crazy Cartoon Cast: The New Normal (2020) by AniMat. I wanted to be concise and specific, but felt compelled to expand on my thoughts. There was a time when the writers knew how to weave exposition into the narrative without it feeling forced and contrived.
The rest of the characters didn’t interest me
I understand that it’s the first episode, but they have to explain everything like it’s not common knowledge. Watson (Valya), Mark Strong (Emperor), Travis Fimmel (Hart), and Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (Princess) all give excellent performances. I feel like the series is in good hands. They move the story forward, but they’re forgotten.
They did a wonderful job visually
I guess we’ll see how it plays out. I had a hard time focusing on the first episode. It seemed to be part of a whole that couldn’t be divided. I’ll wait the entire season before watching more episodes.

The CGI is high quality, the costumes are perfect, the tone of Villeneuve’s vision is maintained and developed. The art department should get awards for how beautiful it looks. The new season of “Silo” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
